Aston Martin V12 Vantage

The fastest Aston Martin Vantage is set to grace our streets very soon, in fact as soon as the end of 2009. Prices for this thing of absolute beauty are expected to be just under £140,000, however production will be limited to 1,000 models only, so book early to avoid disappointment!
It is expected that the car will get to meet the public properly at the Geneva Motor Show. The engine powering the new Vantage is a new V12 6.0 litre engine inspired by the V12 from the DB9 and the LMP1, and it produces 510bhp and 570Nm of torque. It is understood that the V12 Vantage is able to do 0-62mpg in 4.2 seconds and it has a top speed of 190mph.
Aston Martin have lowered the ride height by 1.5cm and stiffened up the suspension to provide a firmer, more tactile ride, allowing the car to generate much more cornering force. The body panels are all new as well, with the car taking on more muscle when compared to the V8 model in much the same way as the Vanquish appeared to be more brutish than the DB9.
There are a whole host of aerodynamic and aesthetic improvements on the outside, and inside the dials have been made easier to read. There is also a "sport" button on the centre dash that will tighten up the throttle and, interestingly, open up the exhaust baffles making the car sound more aggressive.
We will bring you more news on this masterpiece as and when it comes available!
