Posted on Thursday, 01 April 2010 06:48PM by Editor

One of our regular contributors has just uploaded a brand new two part article charting the history of some of the most iconic vehicles ever driven by that great British institution known as James Bond. These articles chart the rise and fall of the associations various automotive manufacturers have had with the Bond franchise, and explains the gadgets and interesting technology built into each vehicle.

From the Lotus Esprit submarine to the Aston Martin V12 Vantage with firing machine guns you will be able to learn how certain shots were filmed and how the production team accomplished feats that would otherwise seem impossible without using computer generated imagery.

There is no denying the impact that the James Bond franchise has had on the vehicular tastes of nations around the world. Indeed the Aston Martin DB5 was not chosen for its inclusion in the James Bond franchise because it was a classic, it was Bond that turned it into a classic as Aston Martin were something of a niche name in the early 1960's.

Why not take a coffee break and enjoy reading part one and part two of our articles on James Bond's Cars? We hope you find them enjoyable and informative and if you have anything to add please contact us.
